Home bakers, one bake day at a time
Bakestand is where Texas home bakers sell what they bake. A baker posts a bake day — what they’re making, how many, and when you can collect it — and you order ahead, before it sells out.
For buyers
Every stand bakes in batches. Each bake day lists what’s on the table and how many are left, and takes orders until a cutoff, usually the day before.
Pay when you order, then collect it in the pickup window, or have it dropped off if the baker delivers to you. You can cancel for a full refund until orders close. After that the baker is already baking for you, and an order nobody collects isn’t refunded.
Follow a stand to hear about its next bake day in your notifications.

Your stand is your page on Bakestand: your photos, what you bake, and where to find you. Plan a bake day, set how many of each thing you’ll make, and publish it. Orders come in until your cutoff, and the order board tells you what to bake and who is collecting when.
Buyers pay through Bakestand, so there’s no cash to chase. We keep 10% of what you sell, and delivery fees are yours in full. Your money is paid out 48 hours after each order is collected.
There’s no storefront to build and no monthly fee. Bake, post, hand over.

Every baker on Bakestand sells under Texas’s cottage food law, which lets people sell food they make at home. Each one holds a food handler card, and every item carries a label with the baker’s name and the allergens it contains. Texas requires this statement on each one:
THIS PRODUCT WAS PRODUCED IN A PRIVATE RESIDENCE THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO GOVERNMENTAL LICENSING OR INSPECTION.
Nothing is shipped. Every order is collected from the baker or delivered by them, in person.
